Balagov Castle

Lug Samoborski, Samobor, Lug Samoborski

Balagov castle - the manor was mentioned for the first time in 1620, when the vice-roy Tomo Erdödy granted the wooden house and the estate with serfs to Kristofor Balagović for his faithful services. In the 18th century a castle was built instead of the wooden house and was owned by family Kulmer since 1805. The castle was thoroughly remodeled in 1829, after the design of the classicistic architect from Zagreb, Bargol Felbinger. After the renovation the castle belonged to family Kiepach, who arranged its present condition in 1880.
