The parish church of St. Martin was mentioned for the first time in 1334 in the first document listing all parishes of the Zagreb bishopric, done by Ivan, the archdeacon in Gorica, but it is much older, its history began together with the Okić burg. The first written document originates from 1193 and hence its present name Sv. Martin pod Okićem ("under Okić"). The church is located in the center of Sv. Martin. The oldest part of the church is the foot of the tower, originally not used for liturgy, but as a defense structure. Later an octagonal watchtower was added and a little chapel, which is now the church's sanctuary. In the middle of the 17th century the church was rebuilt, restructured and re-consecrated in 1649. The organ was mentioned for the first time in 1745. The present organ originates from 1886 and is still in use. The church is the I. category cultural monument. Mass: Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00, work days in the evening. Annual Parrish Feast Day is St. Martin's Day (November 11). (From the book "KAPELE SAMOBORSKE" (The Chapels of Samobor). (Translated by Tatjana Jambrišak).
